In September, Harold Orr & Sons Engineering entered into an agreement with the Western Christian College and High School to take over the operations of the building and property on 4400 4th Avenue in Regina, Saskatchewan so that the Western Christian College and High School could focus on education.
A proposal was taken forward to the Board of Directors and approved in September. The property at 4th and Lewvan has since become the "Wilfred Orr Business and Convention Centre", so named after the one of the first graduates and founding board members of the Western Christian College. The property is referred to as "The Orr Centre."
The Orr Centre consists of 11 acres of land and 148,000 square feet of building space. It offers a revitalized place for the community to learn, work, meet, play and be entertained.
Since assuming operations in September, the Orr Centre has undergone a partial renovation of its 1000 seat auditorium, undergone renovations to the college wing and the art and music wing, and of course general repairs to the entire complex.
This a story in the making. Stay tuned.
